In the off chance that I already have a million other things going on and I have no brain space to devote to writing, I fill said brief moments with something relaxing.  Something that doesn't take thought or effort or planning.

Scratch that.  It does take thought and planning, but when I did the thinking and planning months ago, really it's like play time/recess in my hectic day.  If you are wondering what the heck I am referring to, riddle no more.  I am talking about my artwork.

When I am so stressed out that I cannot hardly use my brain, I end up thinking up goofy stuff like this:

Needless to say, I had fun painting this little picture.  I haven't a clue what I am going to do with it or if I am going to frame it or where to hang it on my wall.  Honestly, I just did it because I needed to let rip creative gas that didn't have a character arc, plot hole or dialogue.  As much as I love writing, after a long hard day, sitting down and painting is so relaxing.  Then, after dipping my fingers in color, my writer's brain kicks back on.

There is no rest in my head.

  1. New follower from Twitter and to your blog! :)

I think it looks great! Wherever you hang it, it will make any room or area look gorgeous!

    1. Thanks, Jack! That is very kind of you. Thanks for the follow and I hope to return the favor. :0)

    2. I hate to be so generic, but I'm way behind and just read about, ohhhh, I'm not sure how many of your blog posts. As always, love them all. Laughed out loud. Hope the writing is singing. mwah, mwah. Miss you, beautiful! And yay on hashing out your plot! You go!

    3. THanks Michele! It's always good to hear from you and I'm glad you stay in touch. Keeps me sane!
